Meet the Power-5

Power injection, civilized.

Big pixel installs live or die on power distribution. The Power-5 turns that rat's nest into 12 labeled, fused, pluggable ports: wire each run at the bench, click it in, and read the board's actual voltage off the red display. Outputs sit on two sides (8 + 4), so fuses stay grabbable even with another powerboard stacked on top.

Why this board

The tidy way to feed a big install.

Every design choice on the Power-5 serves one goal: lots of safe, serviceable power feeds without the bus-bar spaghetti.

12 fused outputs

Each output pairs + and − on one pluggable 5.08 mm connector with its own ATO blade-fuse socket, up to 10A per output. Size every fuse to its wire; the box includes a 5A and 10A assortment.

50A, all night

Three fused barrier inputs (20A each, wire all three) carry 50A continuous: 250W at 5V, 600W at 12V, 1,200W at 24V. Rated thermally for roughly 25 °C above ambient at full load.

Made to stack

Outputs on two sides mean ports and fuses stay reachable under more boards. Wire the inputs first (or keep it on top) and a whole tower of Power-5s stays serviceable.

Reads its own voltage

The onboard display shows live voltage including drop under load, so a sagging supply shows up as a number, not a mystery flicker. Priceless in mixed-voltage stacks.

Faults announce themselves

A blown fuse lights its own indicator on a constant-brightness circuit. Walk up, spot the red light, swap a 10-cent fuse, done.

Feeds the brains too

QPowerPost sends protected power up the standoffs to every brainboard above (1.5A PTC-fused), plus a spare pluggable brainboard-feed terminal if you skip the posts.

Wire all three inputs

Each input terminal carries up to 20A (25A max fuse). The 50A rating assumes all three are wired to your supply; fewer cables lowers the ceiling.

Front 4A, middle 8A

A run fed at its start carries about 4A through that feed; a mid-strip injection feeds both directions and handles about 8A. Interleave heavy and light runs, and plan the feeds with the ultimate power injection guide.

One PSU per board

Never wire two power supplies into one powerboard. One PSU can feed several powerboards, but each board gets exactly one source. House rule, no exceptions.
